Here’s a photo of my work desk and everyday computer desktop with annotations.
1. Computer desktop – the desktop shows the 20% of my work computer that I use 80% of every day.
¤ MS Access – I use this application that I’ve cobbled together over a couple of weeks to query and manage a group of SharePoint lists that I maintain as part of the software release planning that I am responsible for.
¤ IE showing one of the SharePoint lists that I use for planning.
¤ Firefox showing a work item tracking query and a Facebook tab of, what else, Die Antwoord
¤ Outlook with the usual; mail, tasks and meeting schedule
2. Mexican death mask mug
Anita bought this great mug at the Mexican art museum for me to use. Unfortunately the handle broke off on the way home – now I use it as a stationary holder.
3. Photos
I have two photos, one of Adam taken at his school’s photo day[1] and another that I’ve had since my first job in 1999 of Anita sitting in a doorway in Brazil from our 1998 South American trip.
4. Stationary
Highlighter, blue pen, black pen – I am big into using colours in my notes to group things together.
5. Post-it Note and mints
I have a yellow post-it note with my bank’s routing and transit number[2] which I need to fill in when paying a bill online. The mints are Newman’s Own organic peppermints.
What’s not shown is the right hand wall of my cube where I’ve hung Adam’s first painting[3] and three ink drawings made by a street artist in Toronto and bought on Queen street for something like 20 bucks all in.
PS. hey – therunne! You there?

Yo, step away from the kid references. I don’t mind if you mess with my blog, posting trifling comments, but the kids are just too oulik to mess with. More to the point – where did your parents get you?
