Hello world!

My family and I will be moving from Cape Town South Africa to Austin TX at the start of January 2009.

I’ve visited Austin, among other US cities, several times in the last few years and am very excited to get to live in such an independent, weird and free city/town. I’m looking forward to downtown, Lake Austin, the hill country and the strip malls in equal measure. And I cannot wait to start hangin’ out with Joe Bickett on Fox 7 News.

Welcome, welcome. I intend writing about my experiences living in Austin and America in general.
