Easter My Ass

April 5th, 2007

I’m not big on email jokes, but this is ridiculously funny.
I could hear the laughter three offices away.

Memois of a Slut – finàl

March 28th, 2007

So, after numerous attempts, rewrites, tears and at least one near-fatal nite spent on the roof of the house in a howling South-easterly gale I have finally completed and submitted my entry for this year’s Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest.

Herewith the opening sentence of the soon to be rejected suburban-noir novel ‘Memoirs of a Slut: The Valley Years’.

She never put out on the first date of the day, but he knew that this might change when he saw her saunter into the hotel lounge wearing those oh-baby-oh diamante pumps he had heard so much about.

All that remains now is to await the sweet sound of the postman carrying a very large parcel.

The Good Ship Faakensheize

January 15th, 2007

I’ve started writing (and drawing) a comic strip again.
I had, many years ago, written a comic strip featuring the hillarious adventures of three comical pigs who, despite my best efforts, all looked like Garfield with pointy ears.

Sadly, this ended up being a drag and I realised how much it sucked anyway.

Now I’m happy to present my return to the three-panel ring with a rock-em’ sock-em’ deep-space adventure entitled The Good Ship Faakensheize.

Here’s the first episode:

Season 1, Episode 1

Season 1, Episode 1

So far, season 1 consists of 10 episodes – of which I still have to draw three and write one[1].

I’ve decided to keep the art[2] rudimentary and would actually like to regularly have episodes that only feature blank panels.

Also you’ll notice that you never actually see the computer – mainly because I can’t draw one.

I intend for the conversations to be come more ambiguous – hopefully I’ll also be able to reduce the profanity[3] – though I’m not fucking censoring anything.

As long as I think it’s funny I’ll be happy.

[1] So basically, it doesn’t exist.
[2] Hey, don’t laugh now – it’s Neo Primitivist Art Brut – or some such.
[3] Profanity is a cheap trick when it’s played for laughs.
