DgOvrt – that’s easy for you to say! You don’t even have an avatar. At the very least Gravatar should explain how it works when you sign up. I’ll from now on opt out of having my email shown whenever a blog let’s me (like this one does).

The reason why Gravatar works is because it is simple to use. There’s no reason to change it by requiring a password. People should be smart enough to know not to throw around personal email addresses on blogs.
